Alain Ducasse

While superchef Alain Ducasse had made many trips to the United States, he began frequenting New York in the early 1990s to do events with Sirio Maccioni of Le Cirque. For the acclaimed chef, with three Michelin stars at the time, the United States represented a sort of liberation. Wine Spectator's Sam Gugino explains.
