For the Home Entertainer: 2023 Holiday Gift Guide

Top picks for the wine-loving party host

Bottle of white wine sealed with a Repour stopper alongside two glasses of wine and a charcuterie board
Repour’s wine stoppers eliminate oxygen to keep your bottles fresh—and they make a great stocking stuffer.

Repour Wine Saver

$10 for 4 | repour.com

One of the questions I often get from friends and family is how to keep wine fresh when you don’t drink the whole bottle. While there are many (often expensive) options out there, these disposable stoppers work great, even if it takes you a few days to finally finish that bottle. Invented by a chemist, Repour stoppers absorb oxygen to keep your wine showing its best no matter how many times you re-open a bottle, and they’re incredibly user-friendly.

Mi Cocina Potholder Bundle

$115 | micocinaus.com

I’m not a huge fan of potholders that easily get dirty or tattered, so these were game changers. They’re durable and more stylish than most. All of Mi Cocina’s products (the aprons are also cute!) are ethically sourced and produced in the U.S., and one percent of all sales supports environmental preservation efforts. It’s a joy to cook with these and know you’re supporting a great cause.

Glass House Champagne bowls on a serving tray alongside nuts, a nutcracker and flowers
(Andy Romer)

The Glass House Design Store Champagne Bowl

$155 | designstore.theglasshouse.org

While I love a good Champagne flute or coupe, I was intrigued by the idea of a Champagne bowl. Using a stemless vessel greatly decreases the risk of breaking, but unlike a stemless glass, these porcelain bowls will keep your Champagne chilled longer, even when you hold them in your hand. Not to mention, they are beautifully crafted and can easily serve multiple purposes.

A bottle of Wine Away stain remover on a bar with two glasses of red wine alongside and a person shaking a cocktail in the background]

Wine Away Stain Remover

$18 | wineaway.com

Sometimes I wonder if we spill as much wine as we drink in our house. Being naturally clumsy and then throwing a dog and a baby into the mix is a recipe for disaster. This stuff is like magic, and it smells like citrus rather than the industrial cleaner smell you might expect. Fun fact: It is also the official stain remover of the Wine Spectator tasting room. It works on more than just wine, so I highly recommend getting it for anyone you know who’s prone to spills.

Teaspressa Luxe Mixology Cubes alongside Champagne flutes

Teaspressa Luxe Mixology Cubes

$30 for a 3-flavor pack | teaspressa.com

These are the perfect gift for the aspiring mixologist in your life who’s also a little bit lazy. They make any cocktail completely effortless, so no muddling here! They’re also great for flavored teas, coffees and even mocktails. I think they taste better than cocktail mixes—and they’re definitely more fun. All ingredients are organic and sourced from fair-trade farms, and the company is female owned and operated.
