About
Hilary Sims joined Wine Spectator as a copy editor in 2015.
A native of Princeton, N.J., Sims studied linguistics and Italian literature at Smith College, including a year of studying, working, drinking wine and eating in Florence, Italy. She has worked in media, with a focus on food and wine, in the editorial departments of cookbook publisher Clarkson Potter at Penguin Random House, and at Zagat and Google.
In addition to copy editing Wine Spectator magazine’s food and lifestyle coverage, Sims writes and edits the Wine & Design and A Perfect Match series in print and online. She is currently in training to become an official taster, and lives in Brooklyn with her husband and cookbook collection.
